The student knows the key elements in Free/Libre/Open Source Software (FLOSS) development. He or she sees the economical significance of FLOSS projects from local to global level, as well as their benefits and restraints.

The past, the present and the future of FLOSS. Copyright and licencing models. Project models. Commercial activities around FLOSS. Economical impact. Examples of FLOSS projects.

• Active participation on seminars (80 %)
• A presentation on a given topic
• Acting as opponent (two presentations)
